The master server that Trepidation uses to coordinate online gameplay is based on DPMASTER originally created for the Dark Places engine.

DPMASTER.EXE - Windows Binary

DPMASTER - Linux 32 bit binary

We encourage people to run their own master servers if they would like, this ensures the longevity of the game. To have the game client read the master server change one of the following cvars

sv_master1
sv_master2
sv_master3
sv_master4

Also, to have a game server report to your master changes need to be made to the server configuration files.

See:

  • [Sample Server Configuration]
  • [Quake Engine Super Huge CVAR Reference]
